Despite natural disasters and market regression, for the past 11 months, Viet Nam’s agricultural sector has reached a total agriculture, forestry and aquaculture export turnover of US$33.14 billion, though food management still has room for improvement.
Viet Nam posted a year-on-year GDP growth of 5.1 per cent in the first quarter of 2017, slower than the previous two years at 5.48 and 6.12 per cent, respectively.
The export turnover of agro-forestry and aquaculture products is
expected to reach US$15.59 billion for the first seven months of this
year, down 1.6 per cent year-on-year, according to the Ministry of
Agriculture and Rural Development (MARD).
